Expect one full day of madness & fun during the June holidays! It's after the exams, so we're going to reward you guys with a campfire after a whole afternoon of craziness! okay apparently there's been some rumours going around,that letters will be given to those who skip school on the 8th of August.
NO SUCH THING, i repeat,

if you thought there was something like this please read this post again.

there will be NO excuse letters issued to people who skip school to attend the Anniversary on the 8th of August.

ONLY volunteers whose names are in our volunteer list (which means those that have sent an email under the title "VOLUNTEER" to wspsalumni@gmail.com) will receive the excuse letters.
& the excuse letters will not be given to the volunteers themselves,but sent directly to their schools, so there is no need to ask us for a letter.
In case you dont know if you are a volunteer,emails will be sent to you to confirm your names by Sunday latest.so if you havent received the email by Sunday,it means that you are not in our volunteer list.you will NOT be given any excuse to skip school then.

kay its 4 more days till movie night & i'll like to clarify some doubts from everyone.

firstly i'll want to explain why the Alumni is set up.
this Alumni is specially for EX-WSPS students to join, & have fun together. this is to build up our pride in being an ex-whitesandian. when other students from other schools look at us,we can proudly tell them we have an Alumni event going on, & its ONLY for us,because we're all ex-whitesandians(:

so in case any of you might want to bring an outside friend along,do realise that they have pride for their own school too, & honestly ive heard it myself from other people from other schools~
they start critisising OUR school.they go like,
"eeeee how come your school dont have this,
how come your school dont have that." & they start boasting about how wonderful their own primary school is, & we get sick of that dont we.
now that we dont want to see,because that's not showing respect for the place they're in,which happens to be our primary school.

this movie night is meant for you guys to get together & find out how everyone's doing,whether they're doing okay in their schools.its like a primary school gathering,so if we have outsiders,wouldnt they feel so weird? ( cuz' we're special^^)
& you do realise its at night,so security is a big problem.i trust all ex-whitesandians know their way around the school,so you guys wont go poking around & damaging stuff.but outsiders will be interested in like,wheres the canteen,the basketball courts,blah.& they'll go around & get lost somewhere, & we'll probably end up locking them in after movie night.

one thing to note anyway,please come straight to the hall,we're not allowed to loiter downstairs or anywhere else.
we can bring current wsps people,just take care of the younger ones,make sure they dont make too much noise so everyone can watch the movie in peace(:

this is a special night for all of us,& furthermore its our FIRST event,so there must be some uniqueness in it for us(:

Fund Raising!

see i told ya i'll update regularly.

okay LOTS of people haven't heard about this blog! pleasepleaseplease spread the word around!

& now lets get down to business.

as you all know, the Alumni has just been founded, & be proud we're the first batch of Alumni :DDD

naturally, there would be approximately ZERO dollars in our fund, & i really dont want to fire Darren (because there's no need for a treasurer then) xD just joking Darren! haha :D

okay so we're being really nice, because we know you guys aren't that sure about the Alumni yet, whether it'll be a success or not, thus we are NOT, i repeat, NOT collecting funds directly from you.but you gotta realise that the Alumni cannot run on a fund of ZERO dollars, so in order to provide you guys with a fun-filled year, we need to raise funds quick.

& we will need you guys to help out here, not give us money, but help us make the fund-raising event a success.

we have not confirmed the event yet, but i really hope you'll come back to help us out. we need lots of strength, so we need you guys!

after all, think about this:

why do you come back to WSPS on certain events? like teachers' day, chinese new year..

why?

its because you want to come back & see how the school's doing.

i was previously from 6A'04, under Mrs Beverly Peh(: i think she rocks :D

okay id like to thank everyone who voted for me in the second Alumni meeting on 16th March, & i'll be making sure you guys made the right choice(:

yes,everyone's growing up & here we all are, in secondary schools all around Singapore.

surprisingly, i do miss WSPS alot, especially the canteen food^^ better than my current one lah, LOL xD & i miss the WSPS school bell, which still makes me jump when it suddenly rings so loudly^^

& yep, i'll be leading the Alumni along with Samantha, Nuan Ting & Darren as well as Jurizal (havent met him yet but heard he's a hilarious guy^^) in helping out with the school(((:

kay ive heard from most of you, & you guys have the WRONG idea about the Alumni.

you think its just something that wastes your time & effort, because apparently to you the Alumni is just an organization that gives free labour x.X to WSPS.

actually, that is TOTALLY not true-

because the Alumni is more about having fun together with our ex-schoolmates :D

we have a range of plans ready to be carried out, & Mrs Gurung HAS mentioned night-cycling(((: what does night cycling have to do with slogging for WSPS? nothing! lol & yeah if we have enough support from you guys, we'll be able to have camps soon(:

for those of you who got pissed off at the first meeting because it was full house at the AVA room & got "chased out", i can assure you we'll have our meetings in somewhere bigger so that even if a few hundred students wanted to come, they would be able to fit in(:

to the Secondary 3s, i know you guys will be busy with the O's coming & all...but do make an effort to join us for our bigger events in future, or even better, come & join the Alumni Executive Committee because we have around more than 200 members in the Alumni & its gna be a hard time for the 5 of us=X i should know most, if not all of the sec 3s, so it'll be easier for us to work together(((:

as for the rest, you guys will have LOADS of time to come for every meeting, but dont forget your studies as well(: if you guys are agreeable, we can have study sessions too, can exchange notes from different schools(: not too bad eh?^^

what i'll need everyone to do is to publicise for the WSPS Alumni, tell your ex-schoolmates about it, just fill in the form & join us instantly(: to have support from everybody would be the best thing ever, because as they say, the more, the better^^

ideas are of course welcome, of course practical ones that we can carry out(: & if possible we'll try to attend to your wants & needs :D any idea for activities that we can do together? like outings & stuff like that, yep(: you can contact me via email at beaucamisado@gmail.com or just mention it at the next Alumni meeting(:

we'll be posting every announcement here, so do check back regularly for the dates for the next meeting, etc. ^^

we'll make the school recognise us as ex-students who still want to help WSPS shine further even though we've left, & let them see us as people who can provide lots of help for them(: how can 200 wonderful people not be of help to the school? we've got the numbers, we've got the strength(((:
